What I Believe

I believe that our world is very lost. Sin’s decay has eroded our basic moral structure so severely that the line between good and evil, moral and immoral, just and unjust is blurry to say the least.

But, it isn’t without hope because we have Jesus, we have His Holy Spirit and we have the Bible!

We, as believers, need to know the Word so we can live set apart from our world and its “wisdom.”

This is what I Believe:

  •  All things were created by God (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16; John 1:3)
  • God is eternal, the one true God (Jeremiah 10:10; Revelation 1:8)
  • Jesus is Christ, the Son of God (Matthew 16:16)
    • He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23)
    • He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15)
    • He was crucified (I Peter 2:24)
    • His death is payment for our sin (I Peter 3:18)
    • He was raised from the dead on the third day (I Corinthians 15:4)
    • He is seated at the right hand of God the Father (Hebrews 12:2)
    • He is the head of the Church (Colossians 1:18) and intercedes for believers (Hebrews 7:25)
    • He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6)
  • The Holy Spirit indwells all believers (I Corinthians 6:19)
  • Marking them as children of God (I Corinthians 12:13)
  • Providing assurance of our salvation (Ephesians 1:13)
    • He fills the heart and life of every believer (Ephesians 5:18)
    • He guides us in daily decisions (John 16:13)
    • He teaches us concerning the things of God (John14:26)
    • He empowers us to live boldly for Christ (Acts 1:8) to the glory of God
